Nov. 21, 2009 – We decided on Ghana
Nov. 25, 2009 – Mailed in application to adoption agency
Dec. 2, 2009 - Received welcome pack from adoption agency & mailed I 600a
Dec. 11, 2009 - first home study visit
Dec. 14, 2009 – Received letter from Homeland Security that they are processing our paperwork.
Dec. 26, 2009 – received dossier paperwork.
Jan. 6, 2010 - Last home study visit (not)
Jan. 14, 2010 - Last home study visit
June 8, 2010 - Received call that endorsement letter was in
June 11, 2010 - Mailed home study & endorsement letter to USCIS
Oct. 13, 2010 - Mailed copies of our I600a, home study, and endorsement letter to NBC Adoptions. USCIS seems to have lost the originals.
Nov. 1, 2010 - Received I-171H (I-600a approval)
May 11, 2011 - Received and accepted referral
May 31, 2011 - Arrived in Ghana (Flew home on June 8th)
June 3, 2011 - Passed Court
July 18, 2011 - Filed I600 (in Ghana)
August 19, 2011 - I600 approval
August 23, 2011 - Sent Visa packet pick-up request
August 24, 2011 - Visa packet ready to be picked up
September 7, 2011 - Visa pack picked up and visa interview request sent
September 13, 2011 - Informed that Visa Interview will be on Sept. 26th
September 26th, 2011 - Received visa approval at visa appointment. Visas to be printed Oct. 14th
